Mealworms are the larvae of the Tenebrio Molitar Beetle and provides a rich source of protein. Great for birds in their nesting or moulting seasons.
How to feed them:
Best served on a bird table or ground feeder, but can be served in a tube feeder as part of a seed mix.
Ideally, during the nesting season, soak them for around half an hour in warm water, to make them easier for birds and their fledglings to eat and to provide a much-needed source of moisture, often lacking in many feeds.
