Best positioned at least 5 metres above ground level, under a house eaves or on a gable end, away from direct sunlight and prevailing wind and rain. Keep away from climbers or perches where predators could gain access.

The box has 4 grooves on the back plate to securely fix this box to a flat surface. Please make sure this box is fitted by a suitably experienced person, observing all necessary health and safety precautions.                          

Cleaning: If the box has only been occupied by swifts, then it won't need cleaning out.
